Historique
Croix du 16e siècle en lave de Volvic. Son fût circulaire est d'abord étayé de quatre petits contreforts l'amortissant en un glacis très prononcé contre une bague portant, au droit des contreforts, quatre statuettes. Un personnage tenant un philactère ; Saint-Laurent tenant de la main droite une palme et de la gauche son gril ; Sainte-Barbe avec sa tour et un évêque bénissant. Le fût continue ensuite sans contrefort et se termine à une seconde bague doublée d'une troisième sur laquelle se tiennent : le Père Eternel ; Saint-Jean-Baptiste ; Saint-Jacques avec son bourdon de pèlerin ; un écu blasonné. Sur la croix, d'un côté, le Christ attaché par trois clous, de l'autre la Vierge mère. Les bras de la croix, qui se terminent par des choux, sont reliés au fût et à la tête par un cercle portant des choux frisés formant crochets. Sur la dalle interposée entre le piédestal et la croix, se trouve une inscription.

History
Cross of the 16th century in Volvic lava. Its circular shaft is first buttressed by four small buttresses terminating it in a very pronounced glacis against a band bearing, at the line of the buttresses, four statuettes. A figure holding a scroll; Saint-Laurent holding in his right hand a palm and in his left his gridiron; Saint-Barbara with her tower and a blessing bishop. The shaft continues thereafter without buttress and terminates at a second band doubled by a third on which stand: God the Father; Saint-John the Baptist; Saint-James with his pilgrim's staff; a heraldic shield. On the cross, on one side, Christ fastened by three nails, on the other the Virgin Mother. The arms of the cross, which terminate with cabbages, are linked to the shaft and the head by a circle bearing curled cabbages forming crockets. On the slab interposed between the pedestal and the cross is found an inscription.
