Historique
Le château a été construit en 1550 par les Marillac à l'emplacement d'un château féodal. Il est situé au milieu d'un jardin aménagé au 17e siècle bordé à l'ouest de douves, et à l'est de communs dont certaines parties remontent au 17e siècle. Le château est constitué de deux corps de logis perpendiculaires, flanqués de trois tours circulaires à leurs angles extérieurs. Ils sont divisés en pièces faisant toute la largeur des ailes, moins le couloir qui les dessert. Ces deux couloirs distribuent le château à partir d'un escalier droit dont les volées sont séparées par un mur d'échiffre. La tour nord-est renferme un escalier à vis. A l'intérieur, l'édifice a conservé, au premier étage, deux plafonds en bois à poutres et poutrelles décorés de peintures de la fin du 16e ou début du 17e siècle. Les autres pièces présentent des plafonds à la française, des cheminées 17e et 18e siècle.

History
The castle was built in 1550 by the Marillac family at the site of a feudal castle. It is situated in the middle of a garden laid out in the 17th century bordered to the west by moats, and to the east by outbuildings, some parts of which date back to the 17th century. The castle consists of two rectangular buildings flanked by three circular towers at their external angles. They are divided into rooms occupying the full width of the wings, less the corridor serving them. These two corridors distribute the castle from a straight staircase whose flights are separated by a wall. The north-east tower contains a spiral staircase. Inside, the building has retained, on the first floor, two wooden ceilings with beams and joists decorated with paintings from the late 16th or early 17th century. The other rooms have French ceilings, fireplaces from the 17th and 18th centuries.
