La porte de cet immeuble du 17e siècle donne accès à un couloir formé de plusieurs travées voûtées d'arêtes, séparées entre elles par des arcs brisés. Ce dernier possède une rampe à balustres quadrangulaires en pierre entre les supports. Il est formé de montées droites à retour direct avec paliers intermédiaires entre chaque étage. Cet escalier du 17e, exécuté en pierre de Volvic, est un des exemples de ce type encore conservés dans le vieux Clermont.

History
The door of this 17th century building gives access to a corridor formed of several bays vaulted with groins, separated from each other by pointed arches. This corridor opens onto a small rectangular interior courtyard, one side of which is occupied by a staircase ascent comprising a gallery at each floor. The ground floor has two basket-handle arches whose support is on a square pier. The one on the right gives access to a well; the one on the left to the staircase. The latter has a railing with quadrangular stone balusters between the supports. It is formed of straight flights with direct return and intermediate landings between each floor. This 17th century staircase, executed in Volvic stone, is one of the examples of this type still preserved in old Clermont.
