History
Heterogeneous group of buildings of the 14th, 15th, late 17th and 19th centuries erected on the mountainside around an interior courtyard according to a U-shaped plan of which three sides are occupied by the castle, the chapel and the outbuildings and the fourth side is closed by a retaining wall. In front of the castle extend terraced gardens whose establishment on this sloping terrain necessitated the construction of retaining walls. The interest of the castle lies in the coexistence of two castles of very different periods (14th-15th centuries, cantonned with three towers, and late 17th century, with classical facade) placed one against the other and forming a disparate ensemble accentuated by the interplay of rooflines. The chapel is decorated with mural paintings. The outbuildings comprise several bodies of buildings forming numerous offsets.
