Cette église dépendait d'un prieuré annexé au bénéfice du moine de la Chaise-Dieu, nominateur de la cure et portant le titre de sacristain. C'est un petit édifice du 15e siècle, construit en deux temps, dont la nef de trois travées a été doublée peu après sa construction par un collatéral dont la dernière travée s'ouvre sur le choeur, qui est à chevet polygonal. Le chevet possède une corniche sur modillons à copeaux, restes de la construction romane. Les trois travées de la nef portent des traces d'anciennes peintures.

History
This church was dependent on a priory annexed to the benefice of the monk of La Chaise-Dieu, nominator of the cure and bearing the title of sacristan. It is a small 15th-century building, constructed in two phases, whose nave of three bays was doubled shortly after its construction by an aisle whose last bay opens onto the choir, which has a polygonal chevet. The chevet possesses a cornice on modillions with shavings, remains of Romanesque construction. The three bays of the nave bear traces of former paintings.
