Sur la face antérieure de la croix est un crucifix, sur l'autre une Vierge debout portant l'Enfant. Sous les pieds de la Vierge se tient un ange portant un livre et, plus bas, sur un noeud séparant le fût de la croix, est représentée l'Annonciation : la Vierge, debout, écoute un ange qui, devant elle, fléchissant les genoux, lui adresse la parole.

History
On the front face of the cross is a crucifix, on the other a standing Virgin holding the Child. Beneath the feet of the Virgin stands an angel holding a book and, lower down, on a knot separating the shaft from the cross, is depicted the Annunciation: the Virgin, standing, listens to an angel who, before her, kneeling, addresses her.
