Historique
La commune était autrefois le centre d'un petit prieuré dépendant de celui de la Voûte, en Haute-Loire. Cette église ne semble pas remonter au-delà du 15e siècle et les peintures murales pourraient être d'origine. Elle se compose d'une nef unique et de deux chapelles, et se termine par une abside polygonale. Le clocher, situé sur la première travée ouest, a été fortifié, sans doute pendant la guerre de Cent ans. La sacristie a été rajoutée au 19e siècle, dans le prolongement de l'abside. A l'angle sud-ouest s'élève une petite tour cylindrique terminée par un toit en poivrière très aplati. A l'intérieur, le vaisseau unique est voûté en croisée d'ogive. Les peintures jusqu'à présent mises au jour, représentent le baptème du Christ et la mise au tombeau.

History
The commune was formerly the centre of a small priory dependent on that of la Voûte, in Haute-Loire. This church does not appear to date beyond the 15th century and the murals could be of that date. It comprises a single nave and two chapels, and is terminated by a polygonal apse. The bell tower, located on the first western bay, was fortified, no doubt during the Hundred Years War. The sacristy was added in the 19th century, in the extension of the apse. At the south-west angle rises a small cylindrical tower terminated by a very flattened pepper-pot roof. In the interior, the single vessel is vaulted in rib vault. The paintings so far uncovered represent the baptism of Christ and the entombment.
