Le Grand Hôtel de Limur a probablement été construit dans les dernières années du 17e siècle. Situé à la pointe d'une place triangulaire placée au pied de la muraille, il offre une disposition, probablement due à la géométrie de cette parcelle, qui ne reflète pas la structure traditionnelle d'un hôtel entre cour et jardin. Elle semble inspirée d'un modèle local, de même que la composition de la façade, avec son corps central dominant l'ensemble, dans lequel s'ouvrent deux lucarnes superposées. History
The Grand Hôtel de Limur was probably built in the last years of the 17th century. Situated at the point of a triangular square placed at the foot of the rampart, it offers a disposition, probably due to the geometry of this plot, which does not reflect the traditional structure of a house between courtyard and garden. It appears to be inspired by a local model, as is the composition of the façade, with its central body dominating the whole, in which open two superimposed dormers. The staircase of the late 18th century or early 19th century was realised by Brunet-Debaines. The architecture of the façade is today affected by the modifications made to it in the 19th century (enlargement of the openings), as are the interior decorations: only two rooms have retained their authenticity.
