Selon une tradition, Sainte Théphine aurait été tuée à l'entrée de Vannes, au Bondon, à l'endroit où se trouve une croix ornée d'un marteau et d'une hache. La chapelle est un petit édifice rectangulaire dont le principal ornement est une voûte en lambris peinte en 1701. Cette peinture s'étend sur 11, 50m et une largeur de 8, 25m. Elle représente, en huit médaillons, la vie de la sainte. Ces huit tableaux s'insèrent dans une décoration style 17e, à stèles, angelots, feuilles d'acanthe, chutes de fruits, faux marbres... Les entraits, seules pièces apparentes de la charpente, sont également peints à la tempera sur la partie inférieure et les chanfreins. Le dernier entrait est orné, au centre, de sculptures portant la date de 1623.

According to tradition, Saint Théphine is said to have been killed at the entrance to Vannes, at le Bondon, at the place where there is a cross adorned with a hammer and an axe. The chapel is a small rectangular building whose principal ornament is a ceiling vault painted in 1701. This painting extends over 11.50m and a width of 8.25m. It represents, in eight medallions, the life of the saint. These eight paintings are set within 17th-century style decoration, with stelae, cherubs, acanthus leaves, falls of fruit, false marbles... The tie-beams, the only visible pieces of the roof structure, are also painted in tempera on the lower part and the chamfered edges. The last tie-beam is adorned, at the centre, with sculptures bearing the date of 1623.
