Historique
Dans cette maison logèrent les ducs de Bretagne au 14e siècle et y signèrent des actes importants. Après la construction du couvent des Carmes, ils descendirent dans ce monastère. Vers le 15e siècle, la maison est vendue. Sur la rue, la façade présente un soubassement en pierre sur tout le rez-de-chaussée et à pans de bois aux étages. La porte d'entrée est surmontée d'un oeil de boeuf et accostée, à gauche, d'un pilastre avec chapiteau composite. Le premier étage présente deux grandes fenêtres rectangulaires ménagées dans le pan de bois. Les façades ouest ont le caractère des fortifications (un saillant faisant bastion ; meurtrières à trou circulaire). A l'intérieur, les pièces sont dotées de cheminées. L'escalier extérieur, à vis, est en bois. Une galerie dessert les pièces.

History
The Dukes of Brittany lodged in this house in the 14th century and signed important documents there. After the construction of the Carmelite convent, they moved to this monastery. Around the 15th century, the house was sold. On the street, the facade presents a stone base on the entire ground floor and timber framing on the upper storeys. The entrance door is surmounted by an oculus and flanked on the left by a pilaster with composite capital. The first storey has two large rectangular openings set in the timber framing. The western facades have the character of fortifications (a projecting part forming a bastion; loopholes with circular hole). Inside, the rooms are equipped with fireplaces. The external spiral staircase is wooden. A gallery serves the rooms.
