L'église a été fondée en 1050-1060 par Josthon de Porhoët en faveur de l'abbaye de Redon. Edifice à l'orgine rectangulaire, auquel fut adjoint une chapelle latérale et une tour massive surmontée d'un clocher à la silhouette particulière. Nef du 11e siècle, terminée par un chevet plat. D'anciennes fenêtres romanes subsistent, notamment en façade nord. D'autres fenêtres plus larges ont été percées à l'époque gothique. Une pierre sculptée représentant un Christ en croix dans un encadrement de fronton, est incrustée sur la face nord de la tour. Traces d'arrachements de l'ancien prieuré.

History
The church was founded in 1050-1060 by Josthon de Porhoët in favour of the abbey of Redon. An edifice originally rectangular, to which were added a lateral chapel and a massive tower surmounted by a bell tower of particular silhouette. Nave of the 11th century, terminated by a flat chevet. Some old Romanesque windows remain, notably on the north façade. Other wider windows were pierced in the Gothic period. A sculpted stone representing a Christ on the cross within a fronton frame is encrusted on the north face of the tower. Traces of the removal of the old priory.
