Ensemble très complet et assez rare, constitué d'un bassin rectangulaire en partie recouvert par une niche de granit. Le toit, en bâtière, est constitué par un assemblage de dalles. La niche, voûtée en arc surbaissé orné d'archivoltes et surmonté d'une accolade couronnée d'un fleuron, s'inscrit dans un gâble dont les rampants sont ornés de crochets. Les quatre arêtes verticales du monument sont pourvues de contreforts. A l'origine, la niche devait abriter une statue de Saint-Colomban aujourd'hui disparue. A l'arrière corps, une niche polus modeste esst également vide. Ce petit édifice est précédé de deux margelles latérales rectangulaires qui se continuent par deux muretins que ferme un troisième, délimitant aini un avant-bassin autrefois destiné aux ablutions. De ce bassin, l'eau est recueillie et contenue par un vaste réservoir rectangulaire à usage d'abreuvoir. Cette succession de compartiments se termine par un dernier bassin carré utilisé comme lavoir. L'ensemble s'étend sur 31 mètres.

History
Very complete and rather rare complex, consisting of a rectangular basin partly covered by a granite niche. The roof, of pitched form, is made up by an assembly of slabs. The niche, vaulted in a flattened arch decorated with archivolt and surmounted by a hood moulding crowned with a finial, is inscribed within a gable whose rampants are ornamented with crockets. The four vertical edges of the monument are provided with buttresses. Originally, the niche should have housed a statue of Saint-Colomban now disappeared. At the rear body, a more modest niche is likewise empty. This small building is preceded by two lateral rectangular curbs which continue as two low walls closed by a third, delimiting thus a front basin formerly intended for ablutions. From this basin, the water is collected and contained by a vast rectangular reservoir for use as a watering-trough. This succession of compartments ends with a final square basin used as a wash-house. The whole extends over 31 metres.
