Historique
La maison date du 18e siècle et vit naître en 1771 Georges Cadoudal. Entre le plancher du premier étage et la cheminée du rez-de-chaussée se trouve une cachette de Chouans. Le monument commémoratif a été exécuté par Lussault en 1830 grâce à une souscription royaliste. Edifié sur les ruines d'un monastère, l'ouvrage de style néo-classique est surélevé et entouré de terre rapportée soutenue par un muret. Son plan est circulaire ; il est couvert par une coupole surmontée d'un lanterneau. A l'intérieur, un retable en bois du 18e siècle provenant de la chapelle de Gouberville, repose sur un soubassement réalisé en 1905. Ce mausolée abrite les restes du général royaliste, exécuté en 1804 sur ordre de Napoléon Bonaparte qu'il avait voulu renverser pour rétablir les Bourbon.

History
The house dates from the 18th century and witnessed the birth in 1771 of Georges Cadoudal. Between the floor of the first storey and the fireplace of the ground floor is found a hiding place of the Chouans. The commemorative monument was executed by Lussault in 1830 thanks to a royalist subscription. Erected on the ruins of a monastery, the structure in neo-classical style is raised and surrounded by imported earth supported by a low wall. Its plan is circular; it is covered by a dome surmounted by a lantern light. Inside, a wooden retable of the 18th century from the chapel of Gouberville, rests on a plinth constructed in 1905.
