History
This site was occupied from the Iron Age to the medieval period. The cathedral, built between 950 and 1150, was abandoned around the middle of the 12th century upon the transfer of the episcopal seat to Saint-Malo, with the exception of the eastern apse transformed into a chapel, sole testimony of the cathedral. It comprised two apses which were connected by two lines of pillars determining seven arcades. The pillars had a square section and supported round arches without capitals.
