L'église Saint-Sauveur a été reconstruite à partir de 1703 sous la direction de l'architecte Huguet, qui terminait alors les tours de la cathédrale. En 1719, le choeur et le transept étaient presque terminés, mais l'édifice fut endommagé par l'incendie de 1720. Les travaux reprirent lentement, toujours sous la direction d'Huguet jusqu'à son décès en 1730, puis sous celle de Forestier. C'est à lui que l'on doit la façade à l'italienne, réalisée vers 1755. Les travaux furent achevés en 1764.

History
The church of Saint-Sauveur was rebuilt from 1703 under the direction of the architect Huguet, who was then completing the towers of the cathedral. In 1719, the choir and transept were almost completed, but the building was damaged by the fire of 1720. Work resumed slowly, still under the direction of Huguet until his death in 1730, then under that of Forestier. It is to him that we owe the Italianate façade, realised around 1755. Work was completed in 1764.
