History
The presence of a church at this location is known from the 6th century. The present church dates from the early 12th century. In the 13th century, two Romanesque pillars of square section were replaced by cylindrical ones. In the 14th and 15th centuries, the Romanesque paintings were covered over (lateral walls of the nave, above the great arcades, between the high windows). The 12th-century frescoes depicted ashlar stones with friezes and foliage; those of the 14th and 15th centuries represented scenes of the Passion and Hell. In 1823, extension of the choir.
