Historique

History
At the time when King John was destroying the dependencies of the diocese of Dol, the construction is undertaken of a secular building near the buildings of the priory of the Chapelle aux Filtzméens, which had already suffered destructions. This building was to offer the monks protection. The whole of the present castle dates from the 17th century, with a pavilion of the 16th. It was remodelled and brought up to date in the 18th century (1750). The woodwork is of Louis XV workmanship. The dovecote has retained its state of the 17th century, with three thousand niches and a rotating ladder. The castle and the buildings which surround it are organised around two rectangular courtyards. The castle is extended by the dovecote and a hedge of box preceding the moats. The farm buildings are gathered to the north of the castle, around a courtyard.
