Historique

History
The manor of Kermadec is situated in a site occupied since the Gallo-Roman period. It belonged in the Middle Ages to Gérard Saladin whose son, Olivier, became rector of the University of Paris, then bishop of Nantes, in the 14th century. The manor then passes to the Huon de Kermadec family. The present edifice, dating from the early 16th century, is due to Pierre Huon de Kermadec, and it is conceived according to the traditional arrangements of manors of this period in Léon. It is composed of a main dwelling in an L-shape giving onto a courtyard formerly enclosed. It has been cleared of parasitic agricultural constructions which disfigured it and has thus recovered all its interest, all the more so as the interior has retained its original arrangements. Representative of the manorial architecture of Léon.
