La partie de l'évêché dite Donjon de Rohan date des 16e, 17e et 18e siècles. L'ancien évêché est formé de deux bâtiments reliés en équerre autour de la tour d'escalier (16e siècle) du logis de Rohan. L'aile ouest (17e siècle) s'appuie à la cathédrale. Elle a succédé, en 1646, à une construction du 15e siècle incendiée pendant les troubles de la Ligue. L'aile sud (18e siècle) a été allongée et agrandie vers l'est au 19e siècle.

History
The part of the bishop's palace known as the Donjon de Rohan dates from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. The former bishop's palace consists of two buildings connected at right angles around the stair tower (16th century) of the Rohan lodging. The west wing (17th century) rests against the cathedral. It replaced, in 1646, a 15th-century building burnt during the Wars of the League. The south wing (18th century) was lengthened and enlarged towards the east in the 19th century.
