Fondée au 13e siècle par les seigneurs de Pont-Croix, Notre-Dame de Roscudon a conservé de sa première construction sa longue nef de sept travées et les premières travées du choeur, le reste ayant été remanié aux 15e et 16e siècles. La flèche de l'église servit de modèle pour celle que Bigot construisit à la cathédrale de Quimper au 19e siècle. History
Founded in the 13th century by the lords of Pont-Croix, Notre-Dame de Roscudon has preserved from its original construction its long nave of seven bays and the first bays of the choir, the remainder having been altered in the 15th and 16th centuries. The spire of the church served as a model for the one Bigot built at the cathedral of Quimper in the 19th century. Despite the alterations, the church is the most representative building of the architectural school precisely called Pont-Croix. This architectural style, probably influenced by English art, likely appeared at Languidou and subsequently spread through the Bigouden region and Cap-Sizun.
