L'immeuble, à pignon aigu, comporte trois étages en encorbellement dont le dernier se réduit, en façade, à une sorte de soupente inscrite dans le fronton triangulaire des combles. Les poteaux corniers recevaient des statuettes. A l'intérieur, les étages sont desservis par un escalier en bois, en spirale. La balustrade des galeries comporte une suite de panneaux. Le pilier central présente un exemple typique de l'art mobiliaire de la Renaissance, avec cariatides et mascarons. Si, au 17e siècle, ce type d'escalier n'était plus une création, celui-ci demeure un témoignage de la manière dont les architectes et les sculpteurs de l'époque se sont inspirés de la tradition médiévale en l'adaptant au goût du jour.

History
The building, with a steep gable, comprises three storeys in corbelling of which the last is reduced, on the façade, to a sort of hayloft inscribed in the triangular pediment of the roof space. The corner posts received statuettes. Inside, the storeys are served by a wooden staircase, in spiral. The balustrade of the galleries comprises a sequence of panels. The central pillar presents a typical example of Renaissance furniture art, with caryatids and mascarons. If, in the 17th century, this type of staircase was no longer a creation, this one remains a testimony to the way in which the architects and sculptors of the period were inspired by medieval tradition in adapting it to the taste of the day.
