Cette maison est édifiée en 1667 par Arnaud Duthoya, premier négociant en vin de la région bordelaise installé à Landerneau dès 1660. Véritable hôtel particulier, elle est typologiquement comparable à la maison dite de la Sénéchaussée (1664) située place du Général de Gaulle, ces deux immeubles témoignant de la prospérité de la bourgeoisie landernéenne de cette époque.
Description
Située à proximité du port, cette maison s'intégrait à l'origine à un ensemble plus vaste comprenant deux autres immeubles mitoyens placés au sud et à l'ouest autour d'une petite cour intérieure, probablement d'anciens entrepôts qui communiquaient avec la maison par des passages intérieurs aujourd'hui condamnés. Elle est constituée d'un unique corps de bâtiment de plan rectangulaire couvert d'une grande toiture de deux versants à coyaux. Sa façade principale donnant à l'est sur la rue du Commerce, est entièrement appareillée en pierres de taille de Logonna. Couronnée d'une épaisse corniche à modillons, elle présente deux travées principales percées de grandes baies droites dominées par des lucarnes à frontons galbés ornés de pots à feux, ainsi qu'une tourelle d'escalier coiffée d'une toiture à croupe. L'espace intérieur comporte un rez-de-chaussée réservé au service, deux étages carrés d'habitation et un comble. Les cloisonnements intérieurs ont disparu mais l'édifice conserve son escalier principal en vis, ses cheminées et son dispositif de latrines en encorbellement sur la façade arrière.

This house was built in 1667 by Arnaud Duthoya, the first wine merchant in the Bordeaux region established at Landerneau from 1660. Description
Situated near the port, this house was originally integrated into a larger ensemble comprising two other adjoining buildings placed to the south and west around a small interior courtyard, probably former warehouses which communicated with the house by interior passages today blocked up. It consists of a single body of building of rectangular plan covered with a large roof of two slopes with eaves-boarding. Its principal façade facing east onto rue du Commerce, is entirely faced in ashlar stone from Logonna. Crowned with a thick cornice with modillions, it presents two principal bays pierced with large straight openings dominated by dormer windows with curved pediments ornamented with roof ornaments, as well as a staircase turret topped with a hip roof. The interior space comprises a ground floor reserved for service, two square storeys of living quarters and roof space. The interior partitioning has disappeared but the building retains its main spiral staircase, its fireplaces and its latrine arrangement in corbelling on the rear façade.
