La maison tient son nom de la frise de lunes pleines qui orne le bandeau d'étage de la façade. Cette ancienne auberge a été commanditée à la fin du 16e siècle par Cabon, noble dérogeant à ses privilèges. History
The house takes its name from the frieze of full moons which ornaments the floor band of the façade. This former inn was commissioned at the end of the 16th century by Cabon, a noble renouncing his privileges. One room is set on either side of a central hall, formerly under wainscoted roof structure, in which are found a monumental fireplace carved with figures and the arms of the owner, as well as a hand-washing basin. Circulation is provided by the superimposed galleries of the staircase whose sculptural decor mingles Gothic and Renaissance vocabularies. Entirely in ashlar stone from Logonna, the timber framing is limited to the side walls of the central hall, and the front and rear parts are asymmetrical. The building belongs to the typology of houses called "à pondalez".
