Supported on a dike supposed to date from the 17th century, the mill, which served to grind the lord's grain, dates from the 18th century. It was named the Moulin Neuf in a deed to the lord of Guingamp from December 1647 and depended on a manor, known as Tromeur. A tidal mill, it was long owned and leased by the Kerzulguen family, with its salt pond and dependencies. According to a report from 12 vendémiaire year V, the tidal mill was associated with a water mill of very inferior power, which it surpassed by its power and regularity. The current dependencies include an old 19th-century dwelling and the present dwelling, which has become a secondary residence. The mechanical equipment and the internal hydraulic drive system, which allowed processing the full range of cereal polyculture, remained in use until 1961. Two neighbouring dwellings bear the dates 1821 and 1827. The covering of the tidal mill was restored in 1977. The building is situated on the left bank of the Trieux, on a tributary inlet of the river. Access is via a private path along the foreshore. The dike, 10 to 15 metres wide, in good condition, includes a central intake gate, a channel and a spillway. The mill is located on the left bank of the pond. The mill is of rectangular plan, with basement storey, ground floor and attic storey. The construction is of granite with dressed stone and rubble stone. The south elevation is partially clad with planks. The roof is hipped, covered with thick slate. The channel is divided into two conduits feeding the two blade wheels, of which remnants remain in place. In the basement remains the transmission mechanism with cast-iron pinions and wooden-toothed wheels (to limit wear on the pinions). The hydraulic system and buildings are in good general condition.
