Une des premières fondations (1097) de prieurés dépendant de l'abbaye de la Sauve-Majeure. Eglise remaniée vers 1245. L'établissement périclite dès la fin du 13e siècle. Prieuré vendu comme bien national en 1790. Le système de construction, en petits moellons cubiques, permet d'envisager une datation antérieure à 1097, peut-être carolingienne.

History
One of the earliest foundations (1097) of priories dependent on the abbey of la Sauve-Majeure. Church remodelled around 1245. The establishment declined from the end of the 13th century. Priory sold as national property in 1790. The system of construction, in small cubic rubble stone, allows for dating prior to 1097, perhaps Carolingian.
