Domaine de Saint-Cloud propriété des Gondi jusqu'au milieu du 17e siècle. En 1658, achat par Louis XIV pour son frère Philippe d'Orléans : travaux éxécutés par Lepautre (château, cascade) et Le Nôtre (jardins) ; J. Hardouin-Mansart complète la cascade ; intérieurs du château décorés par Mignard. Pavillon de Breteuil du 18e siècle. Séjour du conseil des Anciens sous le Directoire. Résidence favorite de Napoléon Ier (mariage avec Marie-Louise, naissance du roi de Rome). Nouveaux aménagements sous Louis XVIII et Louis-Philippe. Château incendié en 1870, totalement détruit en 1892. La manufacture, fondée en 1738 à Vincennes, a été transférée en 1756 à Sèvres ; le bâtiment construit par Laudin pendant le Second Empire, a été inauguré en 1876 et fonctionne en 1883 ; la manufacture possède des fours à alandier (foyer circulaire extérieur). L'école nationale de céramique a été construite par Roux-Spitz en 1931.

Estate of Saint-Cloud owned by the Gondi until the middle of the 17th century. Favourite residence of Napoleon I (marriage to Marie-Louise, birth of the King of Rome). New arrangements under Louis XVIII and Louis-Philippe. Castle burned in 1870, completely destroyed in 1892. The manufactory, founded in 1738 at Vincennes, was transferred in 1756 to Sèvres; the building constructed by Laudin during the Second Empire was inaugurated in 1876 and operated in 1883; the manufactory possesses grate furnaces (external circular hearth). The national school of ceramics was built by Roux-Spitz in 1931.
