Monument dit de "La Liberté éplorée" inauguré le 11 septembre 1932 et édifié grâce à des souscriptions américaines. Haut de 26 mètres, il est composé de 220 blocs de pierre de Lorraine. La première version du monument, à l'échelle du corps humain, est sculptée par le sculpteur américain Frederick William Mac Monnies. Le statuaire Edmundo Quattrocchi réalise ensuite le monument dont le socle est dû à l'architecte Thomas Hastings. £

Monument said to be "The Weeping Liberty" inaugurated on 11 September 1932 and built thanks to American subscriptions. 26 metres high, it is composed of 220 blocks of Lorraine stone. The first version of the monument, at the scale of the human body, is sculpted by the American sculptor Frederick William Mac Monnies. The statuary artist Edmundo Quattrocchi then realizes the monument whose base is due to the architect Thomas Hastings.
