La dernière d'une série de sous-stations construites à Paris pour les besoins du métro ou pour la Compagnie Parisienne de Distribution d'Electricité, la sous-station Auteuil, avec sa façade vitrée à pans de fer enchâssée dans une structure en maçonnerie de brique silico-calcaire, est l'une des mieux préservées de cette série, en dehors de la sous-station Voltaire (Paris 11e, non protégée). La sous-station Auteuil est toujours utilisée par la RATP.

History
Transformer sub-station realised by the architect Paul Friesé in 1912 for the Compagnie générale du Métropolitain de Paris. The last of a series of sub-stations built in Paris for the needs of the metro or for the Compagnie Parisienne de Distribution d'Electricité, the Auteuil sub-station, with its glazed façade with iron panels set in a silico-calcareous brick masonry structure, is one of the best preserved of this series, apart from the Voltaire sub-station (Paris 11th arrondissement, unprotected). The Auteuil sub-station is still used by the RATP.
