A l'emplacement d'un ancien théâtre du 18e siècle, dont Jean-Philippe Rameau fut chef d'ochestre et directeur, une salle de théâtre est bâtie à l'extrême fin du 19e siècle (1894-1895). Cette salle possède un décor homogène de boiseries sculptées dans le style Renaissance flamande, à motifs floraux et ornementaux, de cartouches, de macarons, ... Elle possède deux niveaux, l'orchestre et le balcon, surmontés d'un plafond décoré de caissons peints. En 1932, le théâtre est transformé en cinéma, mais le décor intérieur est parfaitement respecté.

History
On the site of an old 18th-century theatre, of which Jean-Philippe Rameau was conductor and director, a theatre auditorium was built at the very end of the 19th century (1894-1895). This auditorium possesses a homogeneous decoration of carved woodwork in Flemish Renaissance style, with floral and ornamental motifs, cartouches, mascaron heads, etc. It has two levels, the orchestra stalls and the balcony, surmounted by a ceiling decorated with painted coffers. In 1932, the theatre was transformed into a cinema, but the interior decoration was perfectly respected.
