Théâtre fondé en 1789 par Mademoiselle de Montansier, construit par les architectes Jean-Antoine Alavoine et Jacques Cellerier. Inauguré en 1807. Agrandi en 1833 par un petit jardin à l'arrière de la salle, l'ajout de loges, de bureaux pour la direction, de magasins de costumes et de décors. En 1886, la salle est transformée. Le plafond est refait, le rideau d'avant-scène repeint, les galeries peintes en blanc et or. La scène conserve sa disposition d'origine. La façade et le vestibule d'entrée sont les seuls vestiges de l'édifice originel.

History
Theatre founded in 1789 by Mademoiselle de Montansier, built by architects Jean-Antoine Alavoine and Jacques Cellerier. Inaugurated in 1807. Enlarged in 1833 by a small garden at the rear of the hall, the addition of boxes, offices for the management, costume and scenery stores. In 1886, the hall was transformed. The ceiling was redone, the proscenium curtain repainted, the galleries painted in white and gold. The stage retains its original layout. The façade and entrance vestibule are the only remains of the original building.
