Cet immeuble fut le siège du Syndicat de la Charcuterie Française. En novembre 1901 est constituée une société anonyme pour l'achat d'un terrain et la construction de cet immeuble syndical ; elle prend le nom de Société immobilière de la Charcuterie française. Le 28 Août 1902, l'immeuble est terminé, c'est l'inauguration du 10, rue Bachaumont. Plus de deux mille personnes défilent dans l'immeuble pour l'inauguration. Ces structures sont aujourd'hui quasiment conservées par la profession : pendant un temps inoccupés, les locaux sont désormais le Siège social de la Chambre professionnelle des Charcutiers et Charcutiers-Traiteurs de Paris et de sa région. Les plans de l'immeuble sont dus à l'architecte Jules Michel (F. Salmon, entrepreneur) , qui réalise un bâtiment fonctionnel d'une architecture somme toute banale. L'escalier et ses revêtements de plaques publicitaires ainsi que son vitrail, et la façade à arcades monumentales couronnée d'un balcon curviligne, constituent les seuls éléments réellement intéressants de l'immeuble. Son intérêt est d'ordre ethnologique et pittoresque.

History
This building was the seat of the Syndicat de la Charcuterie Française. In November 1901 a joint-stock company was formed for the purchase of a plot of land and the construction of this syndical building; it took the name of Société immobilière de la Charcuterie française. On 28 August 1902, the building was completed, marking the inauguration of 10, rue Bachaumont. More than two thousand people filed through the building for the inauguration. These structures are today virtually preserved by the profession: having been vacant for a time, the premises are now the headquarters of the Chambre professionnelle des Charcutiers et Charcutiers-Traiteurs de Paris et de sa région. The plans for the building are due to architect Jules Michel (F. Salmon, contractor), who realized a functional building of an architecture all things considered ordinary. The staircase and its facings of advertising plaques as well as its stained glass, and the facade with monumental arcades crowned by a curvilinear balcony, constitute the only really interesting elements of the building. Its interest is of an ethnological and picturesque nature.
