Cet immeuble formait au 18e siècle l'une des dépendances d'un hôtel situé à l'emplacement de l'actuel n°15, et qui appartenait à la famille Crillon. En 1731, une nouvelle maison fut construite sur les plans de Jean-Baptiste Goupy, architecte du roi et juré expert des bâtiments. Au dessus du rez-de-chaussée, le bâtiment devait être divisé en deux corps de logis séparés par une petite cour en terrasse. Chacun des deux corps de logis est respectivement composé de quatre et trois étages carrés surmontés de combles. La façade est le seul support où se donnèrent libre cours l'expression architecturale et la recherche décorative de l'époque, puisque les cours, petites, semblent avoir été négligées ; on note d'ailleurs l'harmonie de la façade et la qualité de son décor sculpté.

History
This building formed in the 18th century one of the dependencies of a hôtel situated at the location of the current No. 15, and which belonged to the Crillon family. In 1731, a new house was constructed on the plans of Jean-Baptiste Goupy, architect of the king and sworn expert of buildings. Above the ground floor, the building was to be divided into two main dwellings separated by a small courtyard on a terrace. Each of the two main dwellings is respectively composed of four and three square storeys surmounted by roof space. The facade is the only support where free rein was given to the architectural expression and decorative research of the period, since the courtyards, small, seem to have been neglected; one notes moreover the harmony of the facade and the quality of its sculptural decoration.
