Un des rares bâtiments gothiques conservés à Colmar. Ancienne chancellerie de la ville libre d'Empire. History
One of the rare Gothic buildings preserved in Colmar. Former chancellery of the free city of the Empire. Of the architecture of this period testify, as concerns the main block, the timber framing of the roof spaces, the roof structure, a roof finial as well as an opening trilobed in the rear façade. One notes the back of the adjoining block, paired openings in the round arch. The majority of the frames of doors and windows, a well bracket, the watering trough in the courtyard and the gallery with balusters surmounting the outbuilding date from the Renaissance. The more recent periods are no less represented: guardrails of the late 17th century, staircase with balusters of the 18th century, another guardrail of the 19th century.
