La Maisonnette Bohn, qui s'élève dans une cour du vieux centre de Colmar, retient l'attention en raison essentiellement du décor sculpté du pan de bois, l'un des plus intéressants de la ville, le pan de bois lui-même étant très simple à l'exception de motifs en chaise curule sous la baie à trois meneaux du premier étage du mur-gouttereau. L'encadrement de celle-ci, dont les piédroits reposent sur des consoles à volutes, est orné de frises en arabesques et de palmettes. Le mur-pignon, quant à lui, présente au premier étage, des protornês de chiens tenant un anneau dans leur gueule ; le second étage est percé d'une serlieuve aux piédroits centraux très classiques. Une volute marque le sommet du pignon. Des traces de décor peint subsistent par endroits sur le hourdis. A l'intérieur, l'escalier, au départ gravé de motifs chantournés, aligne sur trois niveaux des rampes à balustres, ceux-ci étant simplement découpés du second étage au corrible. Malgré la transformation de sa toiture, qu'il est d'ailleurs envisagé de supprimer, la maisonnette Bohn est, en dépit de sa taille réduite, une des plus intéressantes du vieux Colmar.

The Maisonnette Bohn, which stands in a courtyard in the old centre of Colmar, draws attention mainly because of the sculpted decoration of the timber framing, one of the most interesting in the town, the timber framing itself being very simple except for curule-chair motifs beneath the three-light opening of the first floor of the wall-plate. The frame of the latter, whose jambs rest on scrolled consoles, is decorated with arabesques friezes and palmettes. The gable wall, for its part, presents at the first floor protomes of dogs holding a ring in their mouths; the second floor is pierced by a serlienne whose central jambs are very classical. A scroll marks the apex of the gable. Traces of painted decoration subsist in places on the nogging. Inside, the staircase, starting with carved scroll motifs, lines up over three levels balustrade railings, these being simply cut out from the second floor to the cornice. Despite the transformation of its roof, which it is moreover envisaged to remove, the Maisonnette Bohn is, despite its reduced size, one of the most interesting in old Colmar.
