L'une des plus anciennes portes d'Ammerschwihr, dite Obertor (Porte haute). Tour d'environ 20 m de hauteur, surmontée d'une haute toiture. Construction renforcée par des contreforts et par des chaînes d'angles. Sa partie supérieure est construite en pans de bois. Vers l'extérieur de la ville est disposé un arc brisé, tandis que vers l'intérieur, il s'agit d'une arcade cintrée. Sur ces deux faces, se trouvent des cadrans solaires. History
One of the oldest gates of Ammerschwihr, called Obertor (Upper Gate). Tower of approximately 20 m in height, surmounted by a high roof. Construction reinforced by buttresses and corner chains. Its upper part is constructed in timber framing. On the outside of the town there is a pointed arch, while on the inside it is a round-arched arcade. On both faces are found sundials. This tower appears to belong to the first half of the 14th century.
