History
This building dates from the 16th century. It long served as a residence for the Bailli of the Seigneurie of Altkirch. Since 1952, it has housed the Musée Sundgauvien. The most interesting part of this building is the façade on the street. There can be seen an elegant wrought-iron guard-rail and Renaissance windows in triplet, which are found again on the side façade. This is flanked by a spiral staircase turret.
