Historique
Etape sur la route de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, cette chapelle domestique est un lieu de pèlerinage à l'origine très ancienne, une dévotion particulière étant portée à la fontaine située en contrebas de la chapelle. La maison de la famille Sorhoeta et sa chapelle tomba sous la dépendance des Prémontrés qui y aménagèrent un relais à destination des pèlerins de Compostelle. L'édifice est de plan trapu, à nef unique presque carrée, se prolongeant après un léger rétrécissement des murs latéraux par une abside en hémicycle. Elle n'est pas voûtée. L'abside est contrebutée par trois contreforts sans doute refaits au 18e siècle. A l'ouest, la façade se prolonge par un petit clocher-mur. Le portail d'entrée s'ouvre sous un arc brisé à gros claveaux et dispose d'un système de fermeture à virgule. Entre les dalles de terre cuite anciennes subsistent quelques pierres tombales.

History
A stopping place on the road to Saint-James of Compostela, this domestic chapel is a place of pilgrimage of very ancient origin, a particular devotion being paid to the fountain situated below the chapel. The house of the Sorhoeta family and its chapel fell under the dependence of the Premonstratensians who arranged a relay there for the pilgrims of Compostela. The building is of squat plan, with a single almost square nave, extending after a slight narrowing of the side walls by a hemicyclic apse. It is not vaulted. The apse is buttressed by three buttresses no doubt remade in the 18th century. To the west, the façade is extended by a small porch tower. The entrance portal opens beneath a pointed arch with large voussoirs and has a virgule-type closing system. Between the ancient terracotta floor tiles some tombstones remain.
