L'immeuble est situé face au pont franchissant les fossés du château. Une tradition voudrait qu'il existât un passage souterrain entre la résidence d'Henri IV et la maison dite de Sully. Lors de travaux effectués dans la cour intérieure, une sorte de puits avec des marches et une amorce de galerie ont été retrouvés. L'hôtel se compose d'un pavillon central à trois niveaux, couvert d'un toit à l'impériale. Deux pavillons de largeur inégale flanquent le pavillon central. Des bandeaux à double moulure déterminent les différents niveaux et reposent sur de petites consoles ornées de feuillages. Les fenêtres hautes durent avoir des meneaux aujourd'hui disparus. L'entrée sur rue est constituée d'une porte cochère encadrée de pilastres plats décorés, supportant un entablement et un fronton triangulaire brisé avec un édicule surmonté d'une coquille. La porte s'ouvre sur un hall pavé de galets, contenant un escalier droit monumental. Dans le hall, deux portes à encadrement de pierre, de style classique, se font vis à vis, l'une d'elle portant un cuir contenant deux écus ovales blasonnés.

History
The building is situated facing the bridge crossing the castle ditches. A tradition claims that there was an underground passage between the residence of Henri IV and the house known as the house of Sully. During work carried out in the interior courtyard, a sort of well with steps and the beginning of a gallery were found. The hotel consists of a central pavilion with three storeys, covered with an imperial roof. Two pavilions of unequal width flank the central pavilion. Bands with double moulding mark the different storeys and rest on small consoles decorated with foliage. The tall windows must have had mullions now disappeared. The entrance on the street consists of a porte cochère framed by flat decorated pilasters, supporting an entablature and a broken triangular pediment with an aedicule surmounted by a shell. The door opens onto a hall paved with pebbles, containing a monumental straight staircase. In the hall, two doors with stone framing, in classical style, face each other, one of them bearing a leather backing containing two oval heraldic shields.
