Contiguë à la chapelle Notre-Dame (inscrite en 1925 et classée en 1989) , la chapelle Saint-Michel Garicoïtz est construite de 1923 à 1928 (peu après la béatification du saint) par Gabriel Andral, architecte des monuments historiques. A la fois chapelle privée pour les pères de la congrégation des prêtres du Sacré-Cur de Jésus et chapelle de pèlerinage, lédifice, de facture néo-classique, est conçu pour servir décrin à la châsse de Michel Garicoïtz, fondateur de la congrégation. La statue du saint est due à Ernest Gabard. La châsse de bronze ciselé est réalisée par Brunet, orfèvre parisien. La verrière située au-dessus de la rotonde est luvre de latelier des frères Mauméjean. Les ferronneries sont dues à Szabo.

History
Contiguous to the Chapel of Notre-Dame (registered in 1925 and classified in 1989), the Chapel of Saint-Michel Garicoïtz is constructed from 1923 to 1928 (shortly after the beatification of the saint) by Gabriel Andral, architect of historic monuments. At once a private chapel for the fathers of the congregation of priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and a pilgrimage chapel, the building, of neoclassical character, is designed to serve as a setting for the shrine of Michel Garicoïtz, founder of the congregation. The statue of the saint is by Ernest Gabard. The shrine of chased bronze is realized by Brunet, Parisian goldsmith. The window-pane situated above the rotunda is the work of the workshop of the Mauméjean brothers. The ironwork is by Szabo.
