History
The church is one of the Trinitarian churches built in the Basque country after the victory of the Catholics over the Protestants during the Wars of Religion or following a disaster. The church comprises a nave preceded by a porch which is surmounted by a bell tower with three gables (Trinitarian bell tower) characteristic of Basque art. This type of bell tower is found in the former country of Soule and in particular in the valley of Saison. The door pierced in the bell tower wall is formed of three concentric pointed arches. The cemetery formerly contained discoidal tombs which have disappeared.
