Historique
La croix représente le point le plus élevé par où la chaussée médiévale, héritière d'une voie romaine, passait de la vallée de la Bidouze à celle de la Nive. L'ouvrage est en forme de croix latine avec bras droits ornés de demi-boules à leurs extrémités. Un Christ en croix est gravé sur l'une des faces. Sa tête est placée au centre du croisillon. Ses bras, dont les grandes mains étalées ont des doigts d'égale longueur, sont fortement dirigés vers le haut. La date 1714 est gravée de part et d'autre des pieds. En écoinçon, deux visages simplifiés. Une inscription gravée en exergue sur le revers de la croix, donne les premiers versets du "Vexilla Regis". Le fût se relie à la croix par un chapiteau.

History
The cross represents the highest point by which the medieval causeway, heir to a Roman road, passed from the valley of the Bidouze to that of the Nive. The work is in the form of a Latin cross with straight arms adorned with half-spheres at their extremities. A Christ on the cross is engraved on one of the faces. His head is placed at the centre of the crossing. His arms, whose large splayed hands have fingers of equal length, are strongly directed upwards. The date 1714 is engraved on either side of the feet. In the corners, two simplified faces. An inscription engraved in the exergue on the reverse of the cross, gives the first verses of the "Vexilla Regis". The shaft connects to the cross by means of a capital.
