Château bâti par Pothon de Xaintrailles, puis agrandi à différentes époques. De petits corps de logis forment trois côtés d'un carré. Aux angles, se trouvent des tourelles. Les extrémités des deux côtés parallèles sont occupées par deux tours carrées. Le centre du bâtiment principal présente un donjon carré ayant conservé ses mâchicoulis dont les créneaux ont été détruits. Intérieurement, les salles ont toutes été refaites au 18e siècle.£Des jardins aménagés en terrasses successives, un bois en étoile ainsi qu'une Ménagerie sont organisés dès les 17ème-18ème siècles et, en partie, réaménagée au 19ème siècle en jardins anglais, accompagnant les abords du château jusqu'aux limites des bois.

History
Castle built by Pothon de Xaintrailles, then enlarged at different periods. Small dwelling blocks form three sides of a square. At the angles are found turrets. The ends of the two parallel sides are occupied by two square towers. The centre of the main building presents a square keep which has retained its machicolations, although the crenellations have been destroyed. Internally, all the rooms were remade in the 18th century. Gardens arranged in successive terraces, a wood laid out in a star pattern, and a Menagerie were organized from the 17th-18th centuries and, in part, remodelled in the 19th century as English gardens, accompanying the surroundings of the castle to the limits of the woods.
