Historique
Le château relevait en hommage directement du roi. L'édifice se compose d'un corps de logis principal sur lequel viennent se greffer, aux angles nord et sud, les anciens dispositifs de défense. La tour ronde a été décapitée à la Révolution. Cette tour a reçu un décor Renaissance sur chacune de ses faces nord, ouest et est. Sur la façade ouest, la tour carrée loge un escalier à vis. Les marches se développent autour d'un noyau central torsadé qui prend naissance sur une base moulurée, et se termine par un "palmier" dont les arcs retombent sur des culs de lampe, eux-mêmes supportant la retombée d'arcs formerets. La partie nord-ouest du corps de logis a été ajoutée en 1820.

History
The castle was held in homage directly from the king. The building consists of a main residential block to which are attached, at the north and south corners, the former defensive devices. The round tower was beheaded during the Revolution. This tower received Renaissance decoration on each of its north, west and east faces. On the west facade, the square tower houses a spiral staircase. The steps develop around a twisted central core which begins on a moulded base and ends in a "palm" whose arcs fall on corbels, themselves supporting the springing of relieving arches. The north-west part of the residential block was added in 1820.
