Historique
Château construit au 13e siècle et légèrement agrandi au cours du 14e siècle. Il a subi plusieurs sièges, dont le plus important et dernier, remonte à 1575 et a été mené par le maréchal de Montluc et les milices d'Agen. Une partie a été démolie à une époque indéterminée. L'enceinte générale est assez irrégulière et formait un enclos qui suivait les irrégularités du promontoire. Du côté est, la défense était assurée par un fossé. History
Castle built in the 13th century and slightly enlarged during the 14th century. It suffered several sieges, of which the most important and last dates back to 1575 and was conducted by the marshal de Montluc and the militias of Agen. Part of it was demolished at an indeterminate period. The general enclosure is fairly irregular and formed an enclosure which followed the irregularities of the promontory. On the east side, defence was provided by a moat. At the centre, a mass of rectangular constructions faces east, and contained, at the centre, a tower constituting a habitation with several storeys. A sort of roughly square keep was added to the previous constructions. It comprises three storeys supported at the centre by a stone column. To the west, the enclosure presented a terrace where there was a battery which answered Montluc's cannons.
