Historique
Eglise de type roman agenais, mentionnée en 1153 lors de sa mise sous dépendance du monastère de Sarlat. Elle se composait primitivement d'une nef unique à trois travées, celle du milieu étant surmontée d'un clocher carré et voûtée d'une coupole en pendentifs. L'abside en cul de four est ornée de neuf arcatures. Les colonnettes supportant la saillie de ces arcatures, ainsi que les colonnes engagées recevant les retombées des formerets et des doubleaux, sont ornées de chapiteaux frustes. Le portail ouvert dans une saillie de maçonnerie renforçant le pignon occidental, offre une triple retraite. History
Church of the Agenais Romanesque type, mentioned in 1153 when it was placed under the dependence of the monastery of Sarlat. It originally consisted of a single nave of three bays, the middle one being surmounted by a square bell tower and vaulted with a pendentive dome. The apse in the form of a cul de four is decorated with nine arcatures. The small columns supporting the projection of these arcatures, as well as the engaged columns receiving the springing of the formeret and transverse ribs, are decorated with rough capitals. The portal opening in a projection of masonry reinforcing the western gable offers a triple recessed arch. The decoration of the capitals and arches is formed of symbolic elements or borrowed from the Old Testament. At the end of the 15th century, two lateral chapels were opened, forming a transept.
