Ouvrage construit au 12e ou 13e siècle, à dix arches en plein cintre, terminé par un moulin fortifié dit "les tours de Barbaste". Sur chacune des piles s'ouvrent des avant-becs qui sont autant de gares flanquantes et d'évitement des deux côtés du tablier. Sur la rive gauche, le pont s'arrêtait à cinq mètres de la route. Il paraît certain qu'il était défendu par un pont-levis qui se rabattait sur le chemin.

History
Structure built in the 12th or 13th century, with ten round arches, ended by a fortified mill called 'the towers of Barbaste'. On each of the piers open avant-becs which are as many flanking berths and passing places on both sides of the deck. On the left bank, the bridge stopped at five metres from the road. It seems certain that it was defended by a drawbridge which folded back onto the path.
