Historique
L'église fut constuite en même temps que la bastide, fondée en 1346. Elle se développe selon un plan quadrangulaire s'achevant sur une abside en hémicycle. Des colonnes rondes et des pilastres en faux marbre surmontés de chapiteaux corinthiens divisent la nef en trois travées. Des arcs diaphragmes en plein cintre s'appuient sur ces colonnes déterminant ainsi, sur le plafond non voûté, de grands caissons. Une chapelle latérale, couverte d'ardoises et non de tuiles comme le reste de l'édifice, s'accroche sur la façade sud. Le clocher-mur présente un faîte tronqué et trois abri-cloches. La stabilité a été assurée par deux contreforts placés au centre du mur, décalant le portail sous arc brisé vers le nord.

History
The church was built at the same time as the bastide, founded in 1346. It develops according to a quadrangular plan ending on a hemicycle apse. Round columns and pilasters in false marble topped by Corinthian capitals divide the nave into three bays. Diaphragm arches in round arch rest on these columns thus determining, on the non-vaulted ceiling, large coffers. A lateral chapel, covered with slates and not tiles like the rest of the edifice, clings to the south facade. The porch tower presents a truncated ridge and three bell-shelter openings. Stability was ensured by two buttresses placed at the centre of the wall, offsetting the pointed-arch portal towards the north.
