En 1662, les Jésuites de Bordeaux font ériger la chapelle de leur maison professe consacrée à Saint-François-Xavier. History
In 1662, the Jesuits of Bordeaux had the chapel of their professed house built, dedicated to Saint-François-Xavier. The nave comprises five bays vaulted with rib vaults, the lateral chapels communicate with one another and the gallery surmounts the entrance. The choir is adorned with a remarkable high altar with a glory and baldachin (sculptured group in marble by Guillaume II Coustou between 1641 and 1648).
