Historique
Demeure de la seconde moitié du 18e siècle, période durant laquelle bourgeois et notables bordelais font élever nombre de châteaux et chartreuses sur leurs terres, non loin de la ville. L'édifice n'a servi de presbytère qu'après l'achèvement de l'église voisine, en 1847. Cette demeure est une chartreuse, ou maison sans étage, caractéristique de l'architecture rurale girondine. Le décor se concentre sur sa façade principale côté est, animée par trois avant-corps, celui du centre étant à pans coupés. Les baies de cette façade sont surmontées de panneaux décoratifs sculptés, ceux de l'avant-corps central représentant des coqs et les autres des guirlandes de feuillages. La façade opposée est encadrée de deux ailes perpendiculaires. Côté Est subsistent également un bassin ovale et une série de piles quadrangulaires maintenant la grille de clôture, avec un petit portail.

History
Dwelling of the second half of the 18th century, period during which Bordeaux merchants and notables had numerous castles and chartreuses erected on their lands, not far from the city. The building served as a presbytery only after the completion of the neighbouring church, in 1847. This dwelling is a chartreuse, or single-storey house, characteristic of rural Girondian architecture. The decoration is concentrated on its main façade on the east side, animated by three avant-corps, the centre one being with cut angles. The openings of this façade are surmounted by sculpted decorative panels, those of the central avant-corps representing roosters and the others garlands of foliage. The opposite façade is framed by two perpendicular wings. On the east side there also remain an oval basin and a series of quadrangular piers supporting the boundary railing, with a small gateway.
