Historique
Ancien prieuré inscrit dans les archives du diocèse de Bordeaux. Saint-Laurent D'Arce était un lieu fortifié. Il ne reste d'autres traces de fortification que celles de l'église, élevées pendant les guerres de Religion. Eglise gothique. Nef voûtée d'ogive sur piles rondes, probablement du 14e siècle, avec un vaisseau secondaire de même style sans doute du 15e siècle. Chevet plat. Le mur Est semble un vestige de l'époque romane. Le porche date du début du 13e siècle et présente des colonnettes de forme tronconique. Le clocher barlong surmonte le porche. Sur trois angles, des échauguettes surmontent les contreforts du 16e siècle.

History
Former priory recorded in the archives of the diocese of Bordeaux. Saint-Laurent D'Arce was a fortified place. No other traces of fortification remain than those of the church, raised during the Wars of Religion. Gothic church. Nave with rib vault on round piers, probably from the 14th century, with a secondary nave of the same style probably from the 15th century. Flat chevet. The eastern wall appears to be a vestige from the Romanesque period. The porch dates from the early 13th century and presents small columns of truncated cone shape. The oblong bell tower surmounts the porch. On three angles, watch-towers crown the buttresses from the 16th century.
